Papers of Robert Lewis Harrison [manuscript], 1869-1875.

ArchivalResource

Papers of Robert Lewis Harrison [manuscript], 1869-1875.

The papers consist of one notebook entitled, "Notes on Law taken during the summer 1875," kept by Robert Lewis Harrison, presumably during Professor John Barbee Minor's famous summer Law program. A second notebook of miscellaneous lecture notes is dated 1869 Sept., and originally thought to be kept by Edward Tiffin Harrison. Inconsistencies exist with regard to dates attended and duel signatures i.e. both Edward's and Robert's signatures appear on the flyleaf. Edward attended the university from 1854-1858. Robert was in attendence at the university in 1869; however, the writings do not appear to be in Robert's hand. Also included are a few loose pages notes.
